Site safety and security
Information for Chobham Manor residents
There was an attempted break-in on Chobham Manor’s construction site last Sunday 16th September.
Two men were seen attempting to break in through the hoarding along Abercrombie Road, it appears that they were attempting to take construction equipment on the other side of the hoarding.
Thanks to a local resident, the police were called very quickly and once they arrived on site they detained one man and the second man could not be found despite using a police helicopter and dogs. The police were unable to arrest the man, but his vehicle was impounded due to it not having any insurance.
With the assistance and quick thinking of the resident, we were able to foil the attempted theft on this occasion.
Chobham Manor LLP is in contact with the on-site security company, the police and will update when new information comes through.
