Newham waste collection service

Dear Residents,

Newham Waste Collection teams for both Domestic & Recycling have advised that normal service will resume. Blocks/flats will be prioritised and houses will now have a fortnightly collection instead of weekly until further notice.

If your bins are not collected on your collection day, please allow at least 24hrs before reporting this as a missed collection, as these are likely to take longer.

Newham would like to reassure residents of flats/blocks that they will remain a priority and they have plans in place for staff shortages. They will not be affected if we were to go into lockdown, as they are in the list of keyworkers.

If you have any questions please contact the property management team or refer to

Kind regards,

Sadia Akram

It is imperative that we work together to ensure all residents of Chobham Manor are aware of the NHS advice in relation to COVID – 19 (Coronavirus) to do what we can to stop coronavirus spreading. Please see the following Do’s and Don’ts.

  • Wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds (especially the finger tips and in between the fingers)
  • Always wash your hands when you get home or into work – unless vital, refrain from touching hand rails.
  • Use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
  • Put used tissues in the bin immediately and wash your hands afterwards
  • Avoid close contact with people who have symptoms of coronavirus (symptoms such as coughing, fever and/or shortness of breath)
  • Only travel on public transport if you need to
  • Work from home, if you can
  • Avoid social activities, such as going to pubs, restaurants, theatres and cinemas
  • Avoid events with large groups of people
  • Use phone, online services or apps to contact your GP surgery or other NHS services

  • Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean

9 March 2020

Dear Residents,

Re: Traffic Management Plan update

I am writing to inform you there will be work taking place in Olympic Park Avenue to run cable from the UKPN Sub Station to Phase 4. There will be traffic control in place to ensure the health and safety of road users and operatives.

Work will be commencing on Tuesday 10 March 2020 and is proposed to take 10 days.

As you can see from the drawing below full signage will be in place, as will traffic lights for managing the flow of traffic. This work is being carried out by Poweron Connections not Taylor Wimpey.

Traffic Management Plan for Phase 4

26 February 2020

Dear Residents,

Re: Traffic Management Plan update

I am writing to inform you that now the Piling is coming to completion on Phase 4 we will be implementing the new Travel Management Plan.

The new Traffic Management Plan has been designed to ensure the least amount of disruption and inconvenience to residents and local businesses.

We will be completing the hoarding around Phase 4 and after the tower crane erections w/c 02.03.20 (due to last 1 week) we will be reducing Olympic Park Avenue to a single lane from the existing hoarding line next to Park View Mansions along the face of Phase 4 to the road crossing at Timber Lodge.

Traffic will flow one way anti clockwise from Velodrome towards Honour Lea Avenue. Olympic Park Avenue will be separated with a line of hoarding along the centre of the road separating Construction Vehicles and general public.

People wishing to travel via Olympic Park Avenue will be directed along Honour Lea Avenue and Peloton Avenue. Following discussions, this plan was agreed as the safest and least disruptive option we have available to us.

See plan outline here: CM Ph. 4 TMP Logistics Hoarding Compound 2020-02-11 Rev. E
