We hope you are all doing well and keeping fit. We understand that during this difficult time, we are doing our best to dispose of sanitary items etc. the best we can. However, it is imperative that we are also aware of the following.
We have had several emergency calls whereby drains have been blocked due to residents disposing of items such as, but not limited to:
- Grease, oil or fat
- Band aids
- Hand/surface wipes
- Kitchen tissue (paper towel)
- Kitty (cat) litter
- Sanitary products
Important – do not ignore…
If you are disposing of items such as the above, this will eventually affect the drainage pipe within the communal areas/in and around the estate, causing a leak. If you notice drainage issues please remember:
If you live in Phase 1 , contact L&Q on 0300 456 9998.
If you live in Phase 2, contact Taylor Wimpey on 01277 236 888.
Please note, all repairs are service chargeable. If you are a freeholder, any repairs will be charged directly back to you as this is not covered in your service charges.
The above items amongst others which can be too large in mass and weight to dispose of within toilets must be disposed of using recommended methods such as secure bin bags. During this unprecedented time, we need to work together to ensure minimal contact is made with anyone outside of your home. This means taking care you do not flush inappropriate items, thus leading to a blockage.
Many thanks for your cooperation moving forward.
