Dear residents of Chobham Manor,
We have been notified this morning that there has been a mechanical fault with the crane / cherry picker. We anticipate that works will commence from tomorrow, Tuesday 16th 2020. We apologise on behalf of our crane hire company. We will be sure to inform you of any further updates.
Commencing Tuesday 15th June 2020, Taylor Wimpey will be undertaking some improvements to the terrace drainage systems on all of the terraces to remediate some legacy issues with the block. The works will entail the use of specialist access equipment which will be set up on Peloton Avenue. The safe operation of this equipment dictates the closing of Peloton Avenue between Abercrombie road and Villiers Gardens (see plan below) during the site working hours (8:30AM – 5:00PM).
There will also be a requirement for suspending parking on the West Side of the street. The exact set up position of the machine will move from South to North as the work progresses throughout the duration of the works. Alternative parking has been arranged for residents who may be effected on Abercrombie Road (please see image below).
The scope of works entails the installation of new rainwater outlets and associated making good works. Majority of the work will be done on the terraces, however there is an element of the work that must be undertaken from the working basket of the access plant while oversailing the rear gardens. While this element of work is in progress the rear gardens must be vacated until the all clear is given. Residents will be contacted prior to the commencement of works. Works are expected to be completed within the week, however we are dependant on weather.
We thank you in advance for your assistance with this matter and apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.
