Celebrate Chinese New Year with a one-off menu by Chef Patrick Powell and Guest Chef Tom Anglesea of The Laughing Heart

Following the success of their Les Deux Baguettes collaboration at The Laughing Heart last summer, they’re keeping it east and for one night only, offering a bespoke French x Asian menu at Allegra, opening especially for this Sunday night feast.

From 6pm the bespoke menu of Classical French dishes with an Asian twist will be served making for a relaxed, fun night to celebrate Chinese New Year. Keeping it cheap and cheerful, the menu will include dishes such as ‘Okonominyaki Gougeres, £3’, ‘Spring onion pancake, liver parfait, chilli dressing, £6’, ‘Hot & numbing beef tartare, £12’, ‘Nicoise salad, century eggs, black bean & ginger, £14’ and ‘Szechuan Îles flotant, £7’. A variety of Asian beers will be served, and The Laughing Heart’s Charlie Mellor will be on hand to pour wine.

Having both trained in classical French restaurants, best friends Tom and Patrick have found the perfect excuse to muddle two of their favourite cuisines. Beat January’s Blue Monday and get a group of friends together to make a booking – but be quick, seating is limited and the last Les Deux Baguettes was greatly received!
